Jordan starts investigation to find oil leak off the the southern coast

Amman 15 Aug : Jordanian authorities have initiated an investigation into a vessel that is believed to have caused an oil spill last Sunday off Jordans southern coast.

Nidal Majali, a senior official with Jordans Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority was quoted by the state-owned Petra news agency.The oil spill that encompassed an area of 700 square meters, polluted coral reefs, and also damaged equipment of divers centres, Xinhua news agency reported in local media reports.int/sh.
