Natural star Nani’s ‘Jersey’ was one of the huge hits of 2019 where Nani played the role of a retired cricketer who makes a comeback for the sake for his son in the movie which received widespread acclaim upon its release.Directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri, the film had Shraddha Srinath playing the female lead role.
It is already been reported that ‘Kabir Singh’ actor Shahid Kapoor will be acting in the Hindi remake of ‘Jersey’.Gowtam Tinnanuri is directing the Hindi remake as well, and it is being jointly produced by Allu Aravind, Dil Raju, and Aman Gill.

Mrunal Thakur of ‘Super 30’ fame is said to reprise the role of Shraddha in this remake.

Now the latest news is that the shooting of the film which has been called off in mid-March due to the lockdown will now resume work from the first week of October after a gap of more than six months.

The makers plan on wrapping up the film by December and aim for a release sometime next year after the theatres get opened.

It is being said that the team has planned a 15-days-outdoor schedule in Dehradun and Chandigarh in October where both Shahid Kapoor and Mrunal Thakur are going to take part.

The team will not be shooting any cricket portions and will only shoot some dramatic scenes between the lead pair.The unit will be shooting with Shahid in his older avatar in the next upcoming schedule.
