This film marks the third collaboration of Jayam Ravi and the director.The actor-director duo has already given two hit movies namely ‘Bogan’ and ‘Romeo Juliet’.
Touted to be a rural drama, this movie features ismart beauty Nidhhi Agerwal as the leading lady while Bollywood’s noted director Anurag Kashyap will be seen playing the main antagonist role.The film is produced by Sujatha Vijayakumar under her banner Home Movie Makers while D.Imman is composing the music.
This film which was was supposed to hit the big screens on May 1st, 2020 as a summer treat was delayed due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
Now the latest news is that the makers of ‘Bhoomi’ are opting for a direct digital release of the film by skipping its theatrical release.
News is that popular OTT platform Disney+Hotstar platform bagged the streaming rights of the film for a fancy price.
Since it is Jayam Ravi‘s milestone movie, there are good hopes for the success of the film.Jayam Ravi will be seen as a farmer in the film.
Apart from this project, Ravi also has Ahmed’s ‘Jana Gana Mana’ and Mani Ratnam’s ‘Ponniyin Selvan’ under his belt.
