ISL: Jamshedpur FC beat ATK Mohun Bagan 2-1

Goa, Dec 6th : Jamshedpur FC won their second consecutive defeat as they defeated ATK Mohun Bagan 2-1 in the Indian Super League match at Bambolim, Goa.The match was held at the Athletic Stadium in Bambolim in Bambolim.Jamshedpur now occupies the second spot on the points table, while Mohun Bagan is at number 5
Seiminlen Dongel (37′) scored Jamshedpur’s opener with a stunning finish from the right flank.After being substituted in the second period, Alex Lima (84’) scored the second.

Pritam Kotal (89) pulled one back for Marines, but it was too late to change the final score .

.The second half started with a tense start with neither team being able to create clear scoring opportunities.

Habas brought in Prabir Das (for Rathi), and David Williams (for McHugh), to increase energy and freshen up the pitch.A brilliant volley by Jitendra Singh at the 67-minute mark was stopped bravely by an ATKMB defender.

After replacing Manvir Singh, Liston Colaco was called up to the bench.He was given a yellow for the offence, while Boumos was also issued a yellow for pushing Halder in retaliation.

Stewart and Rehenesh were then issued yellow cards for causing delay in proceedings .
Alex Lima was placed on the pitch from bench and replaced Stewart and the Brazilian who scored within seconds of entering the field.The goal was scored by Amrinder’s left-footed shot towards the left of the penalty box.Pritam Kotal pushed the ball in the goalkeeper’s direction.JFC appealed for an offside, but the referee gave the goal .
Jordan Murray was also present.Narender Gahlot and Narender Gahlot made brief appearances from the bench just before the final whistle.Owen Coyle’s men defended their lead resolutely and secured an important win over last year’s runners-up.

Jamshedpur FC will play Mumbai City FC on Thursday at the PJN Stadium, Fatorda while ATK Mohun Bagan await Chennaiyin FC’s challenge on Saturday at the same venue.
