ISL 2021-22: Hyderabad FC will kick-start campaign to defeat Chennaiyin

Hyderabad FC will host Chennaiyin FC Tuesday, at the GMC Stadium in Bambolim.

This stadium is also their home this seasonManolo Martquezs team started pre-season back in September in Hyderabad.They have played tough sides such as Salgaocar FC and Churchill Brothers.

In pre-season friendlies, they also tested their skills against ISL side Mumbai City and NorthEast United.These friendlies, according to HFCs head coach, are crucial for the teams prior to starting their competitive season.

He stated, "Pre-season games can be another training session.But for staff and players its better to play these games in order to get into the matchday routine.

" I dont believe scores in these games are very important.Manolo said that while the results can give an indication of where we are at, what matters is how were improving and playing in our own style.

Chennaiyin finished eighth in the points table in last seasons points table, nine points behind HFC in fifth.They have made a lot of changes in their roster since then, including the appointment of a Head Coach.

Bozidar Bandovic, a Montenegrin coach, took over the club in July.He will be looking to start afresh this season.

Vladimir Koman and Lukasz Gkiewicz are new faces in Indian football.They could be a danger to Manolos team.

For Hyderabad FC, however, Javi Siverio and Joel Chianese along with Indian superstars like Halicharan Narzary and Mohammad Yasir all performed well in preseason games.This will present Manolo Marquez with a difficult selection task.

Manolo spoke out about the start of the new season Tuesday."After a long preseason, it is important to remain positive and optimistic about your prospects." We cant compare our season to last."We want to play good football.

We also want to develop our young players and show the fans how we are better than last season.The Spaniard said that it was not an easy task so they will remain focused every moment of the season.

Hyderabad FC won a second victory over Chennaiyin FC with victories of 2-0 and 4-1 in previous campaigns.This clash will be difficult for both teams, however, as the opposition dugout has changed.
