Mumbai Sep 5, : Bollywood actress Isha Koppikar believes in celebrating Ganesh utsav in a way that doesnt harm nature and thats why she created an eco-friendly idol and for the decorations she prefers the earthen lamps and flowersShe stated: "I avoid using decorations made of plastic and prefer fresh flowers leaves, diyas and even leaves to embellish the pandals in celebration of the Ganesh festival.
We can also create rangolis and give natural beauty to the Ganpati celebrations.
" In an interview about the ways she has decorated her home and constructed a Ganpati idols using natural materials The Krishna Cottage actress revealed: "Replacing the idea of sewing plastic bandhanwars(door hanging) with the ones made of clay, flowers thread, clothing, making the idol with paper and other materials will make a big difference in the amount of plastic that is discarded when it comes to the end of the season.I believe that a little bit of thoughtfulness on our part could make a huge difference in helping the world.
