IPL 2022: MI must retain Rohit Bumrah and Pollard, says Irfan Pathan

New Delhi, Nov 29, : As the franchises prepare to finalise their retention lists for the Indian Premier League 2022, Irfan Pathan, a former India pacer, feels that Mumbai Indians should retain Rohit Sharma, West Indies batsman Kieron pollard, Jasprit Bangrah, and Ishan Kishan.

Hes 23 years old and has already shown glimpses of what he could do and achieve.Hes a solid left-hander and you can definitely put your money into him.Irfan stated that Virat Kohli and Australia’s destructive batsman Glen Maxwell will be retained by the RCB.He said however that the RCB management would have a problem with the two other players on the retention roster "Obviously, when it comes time to the auction, they will be looking for a leader.Thats one thing that is certain.

They will be looking for retention in Virat Kohli number 1, Maxwell number 2.The two other guys I would like to see retained are Virat Kohli number 1 and Maxwell number 2.Because they have different bowling skills, I would choose Chahal over Siraj.He can give you the new ball, and he can also give you the yorkers.

Harshal Patel will certainly be a talking point, but RCB might consider Siraj to replace him at Chinnaswamy Stadium on a regular basis.Irfan predicted that Sanju Samson, Jos Buttler would be retained by the Rajasthan Royals "Sanju Samson will be the second number, Jos Buttler will be the second because he has been in fantastic form, especially if we are talking about white-ball Cricket, so you don’t want to miss that wicket-keeper batsman who can bat up and down the order," said Irfan "People might be tempted to choose Ben Stokes as hes a great all-rounder.

But I think Jofra Archer would fit in the same category with Jasprith Bumrah because there arent many bowlers like him."So, Rajasthan Royals should retain Jofra archer.The fourth one, Yashasvi Jaiswal, is something I am very interested in because hes an oung guy whos shown a lot potentials and could be the guy that you could invest." he said.
