New Delhi 23 November : .The Centre asked states and Union Territories for the participation of local immunisation Ambassadors in order to increase the coverage of mass vaccinations, with a special emphasis on the second dose.
In a letter addressed to states and UTs, the Health Ministry stated that local leaders in villages or districts who have been vaccinated themselves can motivate others.It said that trusted community leaders and individuals could be named as ambassadors for immunization.

The letter stated that they may be briefed about “Har Ghar Dastak”, to give sound advice regarding the importance of both taking the vaccine doses and following the schedule.

The ministry suggested that each ambassador be given a CoWIN referral code to help them with their vaccination efforts.

Each person they get vaccinated by Covid-19 should be included in their total at Co-WlN vaccination centers.

These certificates are for ambassadors that ensure coverage, and they felicitation at Panchayat meetings, to recognize them at the local level, were suggested by the letter.

The IVR message could also be sent to mobile phones using local languages.These messages can be recorded using the voice of the local ambassador.

Another way is to organize workplace vaccinations and give badges to fully vaccinated workers.Badges with a vaccination message may be given to employees at workplaces, organizations and other places.

These badges could include messages such as “l am fully vaccinated.Are you fully vaccinated too?”.

Rajesh Bhushan, the Health Secretary, stated that “Har Ghar Dastak”, the campaign would continue until November 30.Districts should find all beneficiaries who have not been vaccinated and mobilize them for a vaccination on a priority schedule.
