K’taka CM: Intensify vax drive for better 2nd dose coverage

Bengaluru, Nov 25, : Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bhommai directed the deputy commissioners Thursday to intensify the Covid vaccination drive in order to increase the states second-dose coverageBommai stated that the state had achieved 90% coverage for the first dose, and that coverage for the second dose is at 57%.

He met with the deputy commissioners in a virtual meeting to discuss the progress of the vaccination drive.

By December 31, the second dose coverage should reach 70%.The top-ranked vaccination is Bengaluru Urban District, while Kalaburagi is on the bottom.Bommai stated that the deputy commissioners should dedicate at least an hour per day to the vaccination program and also form teams to visit villages to convince people to get vaccinated.
