India logs 4,417 fresh Covid cases, 23 deaths

New Delhi, Sep 6 : India on Tuesday announced 4,417 new Covid cases.

Thats a decrease against the 5,910 number of earlier in the day, according to Union Health Ministry dataIn the same 24-hour time frame 23 deaths attributed to Covid brought the total of deaths in the country up to 5,28,030.In the meantime, the active caseload has dropped to 52,336 cases, which accounts for 0.12 percent of the positive cases.The recuperation of 603 patients in the same timeframe brought the total to 4,38,864,496.Thus, Indias rate of recovery is 98.69 percent.The daily Positivity rate has slowed to 1.20 percent, while the weekly Positivity Rate is 2.06 percent.An estimated of 3,674,490 testing were conducted across the country, bringing the total to more than 88.77 crore.As of this morning, Covid-19 vaccination coverage was more than 213.72 crore.More than 4.04 million adolescents have been vaccinated with the first dose of Covid-19 since the beginning of the vaccination campaign for this age group.avr/shb.
