India rising as a ‘Vishwa Guru,’ RSS chief

New Delhi : Nov 22, 2012 : Chief Mohan Bhagwat of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), said Monday that India was now on the rise not only to be a superpower, but also to become an Vishwa Guru or World Leader.

Mohan Bhagwat, speaking at the Bharat Vidkas Parishad, Vigyan Bhavan in Delhi, said that despite the fact that India has been divided into three different parts, India is still a powerful country today.Mohan Bhagwat stated that India has the potential to rise, not just to be a superpower but also to become an Vishwa Guru.

It is necessary to be a "Vishwa Guru", which means being number one in every aspect -- environment, strategy, and economic.The Sangh chief, Dr Suraj Prakash spoke at Vigyan Bhavans closing ceremony for the centenary of his birth.

He explained different aspects of the concept of development and stated that it is not just about material advancement.Only a country is considered developed if it has all-round development.

He stated that India had its definition of development, and the world must share this.Bhagwat has also published a book titled "Coffee Table", which is a compilation of Bharat Vikas Parishads speeches, and one on Bhaiyyaji Joshis speeches.
