Kanpur, Nov 29, : Paras Mhambrey, India’s bowling coach believes patience is key to India’s victory over New Zealand on Monday.India will take a 1-0 lead in the series.
He said that bowlers must hit the right areas consistently to create chances on a pitch that is not crumbling. Patience will be the key.It is not a wicket that you can just run through. To make things happen, we must hit the right areas consistently. This is the key.Mhambrey said that patience is key to success. He spoke with broadcasters prior to the start of day five.
He felt that Indian bowlers could learn from the New Zealand pace duo Tim Southee & Kyle Jamieson how they extract seam movement from the pitch.
They did well. Both Jamieson and Southee were able to take advantage of the conditions and sew the ball very well.It is something that we can investigate. The surface is also different now.We are looking forward to getting more swing and seam from this ball.
Mhambrey, who was previously the bowling coach for India A and U-19, expressed optimism.
“Enjoying it (current job). It’s a great group to work with, with great people and great opportunities.I look forward to the challenge ahead.
