IND v NZ – Our full effort will be to bowl wicket by wicket, says Umesh Yodav

Kanpur, Nov 29 : India pacer Umesh Yanav stated Monday that the bowlers would make every effort to bowl to the New Zealand batters wicket-to- wicket.

He said that pacers must slow down and play with control in order to generate swing.

India will need nine wickets to win the first Test in Green Park Stadium.This will give them a 1-0 lead in the seriesIt all depends on the wicket.

Because there is variation in the pace on the wicket right now, some balls are going up-down and kicking, or bouncing a little, our full effort will be to bowl to them wicket to wicket.Yadav spoke to the broadcasters to discuss the plans and target areas to ensure that there are more chances of lbw and bowled dismissals.

Yadav commented on the plans of the Indian bowlers during the final day of Test."I think New Zealand bowlers tried to swing the ball while they were in the first innings.

We were trying to hit it because we thought that we could get some buy from the wicket.The ball was keeping low or going up a bit "We thought from that angle but I think to make the ball swing, it is necessary to lower the pace and bowl with more control at a single place.

It was an idea that New Zealand bowlers learned from: bowl slower and at a consistent pace at one wicket.It is a plan we can follow.
