Mayank Agarwal scored the 62nd run and shared a century partnership alongside Cheteshwar Pujara.Shubman Gill (47) was also on the score and Virat Kohli (36) contributed 82 runs to make India chase for runs.
India declared at 276/7 after Axar Patel scored 41 runs from 26 balls.
Ajaz Patel, who claimed a record 10 wickets in an innings on Saturday, was the best New Zealand cricketer.
He claimed 4-106 in the second innings to make it 14-225, the highest total by any Indian bowler.Previous best was 13/106 by Ian Botham, England, at the Wankhede Stadium.This was in 1980.
