Ajay devgn, in his 30th year of cinematography, recalls the career-defining “Phool Aur Kaante” stunt

Mumbai, November 19, : Thirty-years ago, a man of modest means said, "Agar Tere Paas Jaagir Hai, Toh mere Paas Jigar Hai" (You might have a fief but I have heart), which set Ajay devgn on his way to stardom.

To celebrate Devgns 30th year in showbiz, his debut film "Phool Aur Kaante" will air on November 22.The film introduced Devgnn to the movie industry and his debut on two motorbikes became a huge success.It had everything a mainstream movie needs: innocent college romances, Bollywood rivalry, action and, of course Devgn on two motorbikes.The actor recalled his first film and said that it was special to celebrate 30 years of "Phool aur Kaante".

It was my first film in Indian cinema.It was a moment that I didnt expect to become a pivotal point in my life.

The thrill of performing that flip on the moving bikes is still something I remember.This shot was special due to Veeru Devgan (the father of the actor), being Bollywoods action maestro.He didnt use stunt doubles.

Devgn spoke about his experience and said that Hindi cinema had expanded its horizons since then.He was grateful to have been a part this industrys ever-evolving world.

Recalling Phool Aur Kaante, after a 30-year career is surreal.Veeru devgan directs "Phool Aur Kaante", the story about the young son of a criminal who creates a peaceful family without the distractions of crime.
