The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast that low pressure has formed in the Bay of Bengal, and low pressure is likely to move towards the coastal areas of Tamil Nadu within 48-72 hours.‘The effect of the cyclone will be seen on the southwestern Bay of Bengal adjoining the southeast.

The southern states are likely to receive heavy rains on October 28.Ramanathapuram, Tirunelveli, Kanyakumari, Thoothukudi, Mayiladuthurai, Nagapattinam, and Karaikal, districts in Kerala and Coastal areas are likely to receive heavy rains on October 28, the meteorological office predicts.

On October 29, heavy rains are expected in some parts of Kerala and Rayalaseema.

Heavy rains are expected in some parts of the southern states with strong winds until October 31, the IMD bulletin revealed.Parts of Andhra Pradesh are likely to have light to moderate rains.
