New Delhi, Nov 15, : The Indian Medical Association has asked for a booster dose to be administered to healthcare workers in the country.
The IMA stated that, after clarifications from the Union Government regarding the fact that a policy document is being prepared on booster dose, the IMA had also consolidated its position on the booster dose for healthcare workers as well as other high-risk citizens throughout the country.Dr J.A.Dr J.A.Jayalal, National President, IMA, said, "The booster dose for healthcare workers was initially desirable and we were not demanding it.Jayalal, National President of IMA, stated, "The booster dosage for healthcare workers was initially desirable, but we werent demanding it." But now we demand that healthcare workers should be given a booster dose as ample vaccine stock is available".Now, we insist that all healthcare workers receive a booster dose, as long as there is sufficient vaccine stock.
