In a disgrace to teachers, an IIT Madras professor was caught filming a female student while she is in the washroom.According to sources, a female PhD student from Aerospace department went into the washroom.
Meanwhile, she sensed that someone is peeping through a small hole.She rushed outside the washroom and locked the door of the men’s toilet.
She alerted her fellow college mates and opened the door in their presence.Everyone was shocked to see Shubham Banerjee, IIT Madras Professor coming from men’s toilet.
After the police arrived at the scene, the IIT Madras Professor accepted that he was the one who was filming the female student.
He is in custody, and the investigation is underway.
As soon as the news broke out, IIT Madras suspended Professor Shubham Banerjee.He stays in the IIT Madras on-campus accommodation for professors.
