Kolkata, Nov 26 : , Hardik Pandya, after some spectacular outings in international cricket was being hailed as the next big thing.Some experts even compared him to Kapil Dev.The 1983 World Cup-winning captain, Hardik Pandya, questioned Hardik’s ability to bowl.He said that if he doesn’t bowl, “so can I call him an all-rounder?” Kapil responded to a question about Hardik’s ability to play all-round.He isn’t bowling, so can we call him an All-rounder? He has recovered from his injury and can now bowl.
Kapil, who was visiting Kolkata as a Board member of Professional Golf Tour of India, (PGTI), which is conducting the ICC RCGC Open Golf Championship in Kolkata, named Ravichandran Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja, as his favourite all-rounders.
“I would choose Ashwin and Jadeja.Hats off to them.They are doing a great job.I enjoy watching cricket these days and just go to the matches.I don’t see the world from your point of view.He said that my job was to enjoy the sport.
“Jadeja is a great cricketer, but unfortunately he has improved as a batter and now comes down as a bowler.He was a better bowler when he first started but he is now a better batter.
He will always get runs whenever India needs him.Kapil stated that he is not a bowler.
Kapil stated that Rahul Dravid, as a coach for the Indian team will have more success than he had as a player.
“He’s a good person, a good cricketer.
He will do a better job coaching than he does as a cricketer.There is no one who has done better in cricket than him.He said, “I’m just keeping my fingers on it.” Shreyas was also proud of Shreyas’s debut century in Kanpur against New Zealand.
“When a youngster makes a century on his debut, it is a sign that the sport has moved in the right direction.” We need more cricketers like him.He waited almost four-five decades to play for India.He finally got the chance and emerged with flying colors,” he said.
