Madras HC Acting Chief JJ: I believe that less is more.

Chennai, November 22nd : .Justice Munishwar Nath Bhandari was inducted Monday as Acting Chief Justice (ACJ), of the Madras High Court.

He stated that he believed in more action and less talk.
Justice Bhandari is the replacement for Justice Sanjib Banerjee and was administered the oath by Tamil Nadu Governor R.N.Ravi.

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K.Stalin and his Cabinet colleagues, as well as High Court judges, were there.

The President of Madras Bar Association and other leaders of advocates associations, Advocate General of Tamil Nadu R.Shanmugasundaram, gave the ACJ a warm reception in court.

Justice Bhandari stated in his acceptance speech that he visited Tamil Nadu five year ago and was impressed with the rich culture.

After that trip, he said that he had always longed to be born and raised in Tamil Nadu.

After five years, my dream came true.

He said that he is now alive to serve Tamil Nadu’s legal fraternity.

Justice Bhandari asked for the assistance of lawyers.

He said the bar and bench were commonly known as “the two wheels of a horse” and must go together.

“I won’t say anything now.He assured that he would see the action.

Justice Bhandari, a Justice of Allahabad High Court was transferred from Allahabad High Court to Madras High Court.

After serving as a judge at the Rajasthan High Court from 2007 to 2007, he had been appointed to the Allahabad High Court.

The Supreme Court collegium stated in its transfer order: “It was for the better administration of justice.”

Protests by lawyers were witnessed at the Madras High Court against Chief Justice Banerjee’s transfer to the Meghalaya High Court.

Advocates had petitioned Supreme Court Collegium to request reconsideration of the transfer.
