Hyundai Motor India aims at six EVs in 2028

New Delhi, Dec 8, 2018 : Hyundai Motor India plans to expand its electric mobility plans by 2028.
It announced Wednesday that six battery-powered electric vehicles will be available for the period.

The automaker stated that Hyundai’s six ‘Battery Electric Vehicles’ will be able to cater to multiple segments, including the mass market and premium segments of India.

The company also plans to invest around Rs 4,000 crore in R&D (Research & Development), towards the expansion of six electric vehicle lines-ups until 2028.

S.S.Kim is the CEO and MD of Hyundai Motors India.He stated that “as we continue to redefine mobility, today we are yet another showcasing our commitment to Indian customers with our announcement of expanding our BEV’ range to six vehicles for India by 2028.

“We will introduce our ‘BEV Platform E-GMP’ and modified platforms for battery electric cars in India.Hyundai will be the driving force behind electric mobility adoption in India.

This will make it a pillar for a better and brighter future.

At present, Hyundai Motor India has 12 car models across various segments.
