High Court’s shock to Government

Hyderabad: State High Court has thrashed the Government Order with respect to Vice Chancellors recruitment.Telangana Government passed a G.

O.with amendment on Chancellor and Vice Chancellor recruitment.

Joint High Court bench comprising Justice Dileep B.Bhonsle, Justice AV Shesha Sai on Thursday having gone through GO stated that GO issued is not acceptable.Telangana Advocate General K.Ramakrishna Reddy requested High Court one months time to implement judgement, which was considered by High Court.So far Chancellor or VCs recruitment was based on 10 years of service as professors but from now on Chancellor(Governor) will have no role in VCs recruitment and directly Government can recruit Vice Chancellor.Also eligibility for VCs post is also amended, their pay scales will be implemented as per UGC 2014 June 2nd (Telangana formation day), with respect to this GO No.1 was passed by division bench.
