Mumbai, Nov 28, 2008 : Although South Korean dark fantasy series Hellbound’ may have displaced Hwang Dong Hyuk’s survival drama series Squid Game’ from the top spot on the world’s most popular TV shows rankings, show director Yeon Sangho is full of praises for the survival drama series. The show’s vision is loved by the director.
Yeon Sangho, a Variety reporter, said that she enjoyed ‘Squid Game,’ as well as the Hwang Donghyuk directedorial.And the vision it had, being a genre drama was very relatable.
There were many points in the show that I could relate to.
He said that both ‘Hellbound” and ‘Squid Game have their own elements, “I think both shows have their entertainment elements.” It’s all different.”Squid Game” was able to resonate with many people, I believe.”
Yeon concludes by saying that there is a parallel between the shows.He said, “Also, there’s that entertainment factor to drawing from childhood games as also.” These pieces, like ‘Hellbound’, encourage a lot more active conversation among the audience.That’s where I believe both their entertainment comes from.
