Chandigarh : , The Haryana Cabinet, headed by Chief Minister Manohar lal Khattar, approved Thursday the state government’s agreement to enter into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the National Institute for Smart Government to improve and enhance the in-house capabilities of departments. The agreement will be in effect for five years after the date of its signing.
It can be extended by mutual consent up to five more years.
The pact allows the NISG and the state government to nominate coordinators to represent the parties and promote interaction so that they can plan, implement, monitor, and review the activities.
The NISG is a not-for-profit company set up in 2002 by the Centre on the public-private-partnership (PPP) model with Secretary, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology as its Chairman.
