Govt created 64 positions for Ministry of Cooperation

The Union Government announced Wednesday that 64 new posts were created for the Ministry of Cooperation by Central Secretariat Service and Central Secretariat Steenographers Service (CSSS)The union government established a separate "Ministry of Cooperation" on July 6th to realize the vision of "Sahkar se Samriddhi".

The new ministry provides a separate administrative, legal, and policy framework to strengthen the countrys cooperative movement.The newly created ministry for Cooperation has been given to Amit Shah, Union Home Minister.

The department of personnel and training approved the proposal of Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare (DoA&FW), for the encadrement of posts for the newly created Ministry of Cooperation as detailed below into CSS and CSSS.The order created three posts for deputy secretary, 10 undersecretary posts, eight section officers posts, and 15 assistant section officers under CSS.In the same way, CSSS has created 28 support staff positions."It should be noted, however, that the encadrement of one additional post to be operated at Sr PPS level in place of PSO is possible after approval by Department of Expenditure.

The order stated that the PPS-3, PS-6, and PA-14 into CSSS posts will become operational once the Department of Expenditure approves the DoA&FW proposal for upgradation of these posts to their respective Pay Levels.This is analogous to the respective CSSS posts.

After encadrement, the revised strength of the Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfares sanctioned strength is 687 and the ministry of cooperation is 79.The ministry of Cooperation assists in establishing Cooperatives as a people-based movement reaching down to the grassroots."A cooperative-based economic development model is very relevant in our country where each member works with a spirit and responsibility.

The Ministry will streamline processes to facilitate Ease-of-Doing Business for cooperatives and allow development of Multi-State Co-operatives," the government stated when creating the ministry.Further, the government stated that the Central Government had expressed its deep commitment to community-based development partnership.
