AAP walks out as the government calls all parties to a meeting ahead of Winter session

New Delhi, Nov 28, : A day prior to the start of the Parliament’s Winter session, Sunday’s government convened an all party meeting.However, the Aam Aadmi Party protested, claiming that the government is not willing to listen.
Pralhad Joshi, Parliamentary Affairs Minister, stated that the government was open to discussions with the permission of the respective chairs.

He stated that the government was ready to discuss the issues with the Chairman of Rajya Sabha or the Speaker of Lok Sabha, without interruptions.

Sources claimed that the opposition parties raised concerns about Pegasus snooping, price rise, unemployment and extended jurisdiction to the Border Security Force (BSF), in some states.

They also demanded a law ensuring minimum support price (MSP).

The meeting was attended by 42 leaders representing 31 parties.It was held ahead of the Winter session which will continue until December 23.

Rajnath Singh was the Defence Minister and Deputy Lead of BJP In Lok Sabha.Piyush Goyal, Joshi, and Leader of BJP In Rajya Sabha were the leaders of the ruling party.

Congress leaders Mallikarjun Kharge and Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury, Anand Sharma, and the Trinamool Congress chief Sharad Pawar, NCP chief Sharad Pawar, and T.R.Baalu and T.Siva were also present at the all-party meeting.

Kharge stated that they expected the Prime Minister to attend the meeting.Joshi however said that there was no tradition for the Prime Minister to attend the all-party meeting.

It was initiated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Sanjay Singh, AAP leader, walked out of the all-party meeting claiming he was not allowed speak and that he wanted the farmers to demand a law on MSP.
