Google eliminates Pixelbook laptop program, and shifts staff to new projects

San Francisco, Sep 13 : Google is leaving the laptop market and is rumored to have removed its next pixelbook and has shifted its group to different verticals.

The Pixelbook Go will be the final of Googles laptops.Googles hardware offerings currently include Pixel series of phones.

Google is likely to be working on an Pixel smartphone that folds and an updated Android Pro tablet.The company has also revealed the launch of a Pixel Watch that is likely to be released together with Pixel 7 series smartphones at the launch event on the 6th of October.

The company first announced the Pixel 7 and 7 Pro at its I/O conference for developers in May.Alphabet as well as Google CEO Sundar Pichai recently announced to reduce hiring and eliminate certain projects across the company "In certain instances, this involves consolidating investments where they have overlap, and streamlining procedures.In other cases, this means stopping development and re-deploying resources to areas that are more important," Pichai said in July.
