Marbella, Spain, Nov 27, : India’s Aditi and Tvesa Ashok had small rounds in the second round at the Andalucia Costa del Sol Open de Espana.After a round of 71, Aditi added 74 to the second round and was ranked T-22.Tvesa Malik (75-75) was ranked T-55 at halftime.Spain’s Carlota Ciganda fired a second round with 66 (-6) in order to maintain the halfway lead at The Andalucia Costa del Sol Open de Espana.
The four-time LET champion has an excellent record in her national championship – she finished in the top ten in seven of the seven she played – and she continued that feat on day two at Los Naranjos Golf Club.
Aditi had 2 bogeys to 4 bogeys, while Tvesa had 2 birdies to 3 bogeys and 1 double bogey.
Ciganda started off well with two birdies in her first three holes.She added another on the seventh to make it 33.
The Spaniard added another birdie to her total of 10 on the 10th, before an eagle on 14th propelled her up to 8-under for the tournament and the top spot on leaderboard.
Ciganda recently changed her putting grip after consulting Tommy Fleetwood, Ryder Cup winner.It seems to be paying off.
Two Spaniards will be in the last group in the third round.Fatima Fernandez Kano is one shot behind the leader, and Ciganda is excited about the possibility.Cano, who was in the lead overnight, had a solid day on the course and carded a round of 68 (+4) to move up to seven-under par.
The 26-year old rolled in five birdies, one bogey and finished in second place at half-way.
France’s Anne-Lise Caudal is in third place on five-under-par.She was also in a share the lead after round 1.Finland’s Ursula Wikstrom is fourth on four-under par after she shot a bogey-free score of 68 (-4) in Spain on day two.
On three-under-par, five players are tied for fifth.This includes one of the co-leaders, Manon De Roey.
