Hyderabad, Nov 26 : , Teen star Jahanvi Bakshi won back-to-back victories.She overcame a one-shot deficit and took the 13th Leg at Boulder Hills Golf & Country Club to record her fourth win in 2021. Seher Atwal, who shared overnight lead with Amandeep Dall, needed to birdie the 18th to be in play-off with Jahanvi.However, she managed just a par.
Vani Kapoor was playing alongside Jahanvi and had the chance to join the latter.But instead, she bogeyed Par-5 18th, and fell one behind.
Jahanvi (69), was 7-under 209 while Seher (71) was 6-under 209.Vani Kapoor (72) and Amandeep Dhall (72) were tied for third on the final day.The day started with the promise of a thriller, but Jahanvi, despite being young, managed to keep her nerves and win a memorable victory.
Pranavi Urs shot 70, and was sole fifth.Jahanvi’s sister Hitaashee (73), was level with her, but had two bogeys in the back nine.She ended up sixth because of that.
Jahanvi, who started the week at even par 72, shot a 68 the second day.She birdied fifth and seventh in the final round, both Par-5s.She finished 2-under.She dropped a shot on Par-5 14th, but recovered with a birdie at 15th.She won the 18th hole, the last two holes and the 18th.
Seher dropped back after a bogey on the 2nd, but she finished 1-under with birdies on 4th and 9th.She bogeyed 12th, but managed to pick a shot on the 14th.Seher was one shot behind Jahanvi because she needed a birdie at the 18th.
Saaniya Sharma (74) was the sole seventh.Khushi Khanijau (77) and Asmitha Sathish (73) were tied-8th.Rhea Saravanan (74) was the final member of the Top-10.
Vani Kapoor bogeyed 18th and 18th, and had four birdies in her 70.Amandeep Drall, the top contender, began bogey bogey to lose the lead.She had a birdie on her third, but she dropped a shot on the thirteenth.
Then, she had two more birdies on 14th and 15.But.It was still two short of Jahanvi, as Amandeep finished tied-third.
Amandeep, despite Jahanvi’s fourth win of 2019, maintained her position at the top of Hero Order of Merit.It is now combined for 2020/2021.Vani Kapoor lies second, Jahanvi is third, and Hitaashee fourth.Seher Atwal is fifth.
