Giriraj Singh in Kamal Nath’s turf

Bhopal 18 August : Senior BJP leader and Union Minister Giriraj Singh on Thursday was on a visit of Chhindwara the stronghold of the former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister and the state Congress Chief Kamal Nath.

Sources in the MP BJP informed IANS that Singh will meet with the partys leadership and will draw up strategies to fight Kamal Nath.Singh arrived at Chhindwara on Wednesday through Nagpur.

He went to the Jamsavali temple and sang Hanuman Chalisa with Minister for MP Kamal Patel and other party employees."Singh is in Chhindwara for three days.

He will visit Chhindwara to talk to people.He will also meet with the partys local members," said a BJP leader in Madhya Pradesh.

Chhindwara is the sole district in Madhya Pradesh where the Congress won all eight Assembly seats in 2018.the son of Kamal Nath Nakul Nath is an MP from Chhindwara.

Prior to his sons victory, Kamal Nath won the Chhindwara Lok Sabha seat nine times.In Madhya Pradesh, like Gwalior-Chambal is considered to be a place of refuge of the Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia.

Raghogarh of long-time Congress leader and Rajya Sabha MP Digvijaya Singh, Chhindwara is the home ground of Kamal Nath.Sources say that Giriraj Singh has been given the task to help the BJP cadre in Chhindwara and to weaken Kamal Nath.

The plan is the BJPs strategy to target the area of strongholds of Congress to stop Gwaliors demise in the post of Mayor.However, Congress leaders have said that Giriraj Singh wont have any difference in Chhindwara.

"We are not concerned about Giriraj Singhs visit to Chhindwara.The public knows the is the kind of politician he is.He is determined to disrupt the harmony of the community in the name of reasons for which he is well-known for," said K.K.Mishra the MP Congress the media chief.Its not the first time that the BJP has appointed its strong leaders to confront Kamal Nath, especially in his district of home Chhindwara.

Other BJP leaders who were previously appointed in-charge of Chhindwara included Uma Bharti Kailash Vijayvargiya Prakash Javadekar, Kailash Soni and Swatantra Dev Singh, however, with the exception for Uma Bharti, the others were unable to make an impression there.pd/dp.
