Whether its post lockdown effect or GHMC polls, Telangana government hospitals get the world-class infrastructure and efficient manpower than pre-lockdown times.

The officials say the intention is to improve the service qualities and healthcare facilities in all the government hospitals.

They have cited that the Telangana government is allocating funds for the development of government hospitals for the last six years.The reports state that between 2014 and 2020, the Telangana State government allowed nearly Rs 677.42 crore to obtain diagnostic medical equipment, furniture for government hospitals.

According to the officials, from the past two years, the State government is trying hard to develop high-end diagnostic facilities at Gandhi Hospital, Institute of Preventive Medicine (IPM), Fever Hospital, NIMS, and TIMS.In addition to it, the State Health Ministry has also focused more on mother-child care by maintaining Mother and Child Health (MCH) centres at Sultanbazaar and Petlaburj maternity hospitals, Niloufer Mother and Child Care facility.

Besides, the government has also taken care of getting new cancer block for MNJ Cancer Hospital, upgrading ICUs and setting up modular operation theatres at Gandhi Hospital and NIMS.
