Covid has caused a drop in household consumption of German households by 3% for 2020

German households have lowered their monthly consumption in 2020 because of the Covid-19 pandemic, according to the Federal Statistical OfficeAccording to Xinhua, the average monthly household expenditure in Germany fell to slightly more than 2,500 Euros ($2,810).

The biggest decline in spending on accommodation and catering services was by 35% compared with the prior year.Education saw the second largest decline, with Germans spending 29% less.
