IANS spoke with the Union Minister who also serves as the co-election-in-charge for Uttar Pradesh.

Q: You are the co-election officer for Uttar Pradesh. This means that you travel around constantly, attending rallies and holding meetings.

How do you assess the current electoral situation in the state?

A: The state’s law and order have improved quickly. Thanks to Yogi Adityanath’s good governance, Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s public welfare programs have been successful.

This has created a favorable environment for the Bharatiya Janata Party – BJP.

Q: However, Akhilesh Yadav (Samajwadi Party Leader and Former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh) is putting the BJP government under oath by claiming that crime has increased in Uttar Pradesh.

A: Akhilesh Yadav has lost the backbone of “goondaraj”, which was visible during his tenure. They are therefore upset and making these statements.Kashi’s development is Uttar Pradesh-centric.He should have applauded the development work as a Uttar Pradesh citizen and former Chief Minister.

Instead of praising the work, he insulted the Prime Minister.

Q: Is it about contesting elections on law, order, and good governance? If so, why do you keep bringing up the Jinnah, Hindu-Muslim and temple issues again?

A: Akhilesh Yadav raised the Jinnah question, but we (BJP), haven’t done that.Elections should be fought on issues such as development and good government. This controversy was created by his comparison of Muhammad Ali Jinnah to Sardar Patel. It’s only natural for people to react when he brings up such an issue. It is clear that Jinnah wasn’t as important as Sardar Patel.

Jinnah is the national symbol, however, it’s great for Akhilesh.

Q: If you have stated that “even the Yadav Community will not accept it”, why would Akhilesh Yadav say such a thing?

A: Akhilesh is Yadav and believes the Yadavs will vote for him.He is concerned about Muslim votes.Because the Samajwadi Party is concerned that Muslims might not vote for Owaisi and Mayawati in Mayawati’s election, they are trying to win over Muslim voters with chanting Jinnah.

Q: Akhilesh Yadav also wants to put pressure on your party, so he is forming alliances with small parties and keeping in mind the caste system. He is joining Jayant Choudhary to try to bring along the Jats.

By striking an alliance to Om Prakash Rajbhar’s party, he reaches out to Purvanchal. The Samajwadi Party joined other smaller parties to oppose you in the same manner.

A: While these leaders agree with Akhilesh Yadav’s vision, the society they live in is different. This is the reality on the ground.

Many of these communities believe that they will vote for the man who fires kar sevaks. Many people believe that they will vote for the hooligans who have oppressed their communities through hooliganism.

The leaders might vote for Akhilesh, but the community won’t support the Samajwadi Party. The people have faith in Modi’s policies and Yogi’s work, so they support the BJP.

Q: Braj is the region that has the most farmers. How does the attitude of farmers toward BJP compare?

A: Yogi Adityanath’s government increased sugarcane prices and restarted the shuttered sugar mills. These steps have a positive effect on farmers.Modi’s policies, Chief Minister Yogi Amityanath’s efforts and the BJP’s support are a welcome sight for farmers.

Q: Is it a claim that the farmers are not resentful?

A: Absolutely.A: Absolutely.There’s no anger anywhere.

Q: Congress wants to attract almost half of the women in the state. The Congress is currently running the campaign “I am a Girl, Can Fight” and is talking about giving 40% tickets to women.

A: The Congress in Rajasthan is at power. They should make 40% (women ministers) there. They have no government in a state.

Q: Your home state is Rajasthan, and you mentioned that the Congress government in Rajasthan was run by Congress.Despite the criticisms from your party (BJP), Congress points to the performance of Ashok Gehlot’s government.

Rahul Gandhi held a protest rally in Rajasthan against the Central government last week.

A: Congress organized a rally at Rajasthan as they couldn’t draw enough people in Delhi. The party mobilized the Rajasthan crowd by inviting Anganwadi workers and MGNREGA employees to join them.Rahul Gandhi spoke on Hindutva, Hindutva and the Congress called for an inflation rally.

The Gehlot government in Rajasthan has been divided into two camps.Gehlot government split into two parts. On every front, he has fallen short. The ministers speak in a different way even after the creation of the new cabinet.

The government can be divided into two groups, which leads to mis-governance and a halt in development work. This is what is occurring in Rajasthan.
