France is looking to construct a pipelines that will connect Spain through Central Europe

Paris August 31, : France is looking at the possibility of building an oil pipeline connecting the Iberian peninsula to the south of the country in attempt to create new sources of energy in the absence of natural gas from Russia.

"Spain as well as Germany are close partners of France and Germany.

If they propose a solution that we are interested in, we will look into it," dpa news agency quoted Economy Minister Bruno Le Maire as saying here on Tuesday.So so far, France, which relies heavily on nuclear power is hesitant about renewing the Midcat natural gas pipeline that was closed in 2017 due to it being not profitable.
