K’taka: Five people killed in a road accident

Five family members including two children were killed in an accident that involved an autorickshaw and tipper truck in Karnataka’s Mandya regionMuttamma (45), President of Bandur Gram Panchayat; her daughter Basammanni (30); son Dadadapura Venkatesh (22) and grand-daughter Chamundeshwari (8).

Sources claim that Muttamma, the sole Gram Panchayat president from the Korama community of the state is Muttamma.After a collision head-on between an auto and tipper truck, the incident occurred.

From Malavalli, the truck was heading towards Maddur.It was going in the opposite direction.

It took place in Nelamakanahalli, Malavalli Taluk of Mandya.Accidentally, the auto became mangled.

Muttamma, her two children and their mother died instantly.Others were treated at the hospital.
