Lucknow 5th September : A massive fire started in the Levana hotel in Hazratganj region of the capital city of the state on Monday morning. Many people including guests and employees were injured by burns while firefighters tried to put out the flames.
Firefighters broke the glass panes to free those trapped within.A few guests complained of extreme suffocation as the smoke was enveloping the rooms.
Over 20 people remain trapped in the cave.
The ambulance service has also been requested in as well as nearby hospitals were placed on alert.
The hotel is located on a narrow road that is causing problems in rescue and relief operations.
It isn’t known what caused the fire.
