New Delhi : , Sunday, November 21st, 2018 – Madhya Pradesh Home Ministry Narottam Misra stated that Amazon representatives were not cooperating with the investigation, despite having issued a warning about the sale of marijuana online.After which, an FIR was registered.
He tweeted that “online drug trading is a much more serious crime than Cybercrime and will be discouraged in the State.”

Mishra stated that a case was filed against Amazon’s executive directors in Bhind, under section 38 of NDPS Act.

The Bhind Police, which is currently investigating the case has named Executive Directors of Amazon Seller Services Limited under section 38 of NDPS Act.

Traders across India appreciate MP Police’s firmness in handling this matter.CAIT released a statement praising CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan as well as Home Minister Narottam Misra, for their efficiency in the police system.

The Confederation of All India Traders had previously greatly valued Narottam’s statement to Amazon, which gave a clear and unambiguous warning that they must either cooperate in the MP Police investigation or be taken to the MP.

Mishra’s statement has raised hopes in the Country among traders that the sensational issue won’t be diluted, since it has closed all escape routes to Amazon.CAIT stated.

CAIT stated that Amazon’s current reports of the sale of marijuana via the eportal is shocking and a wake-up call.These companies have the ability to do everything, even selling prohibited items.

It has been claimed that Amazon facilitates the trade in marijuana through its marketplace platform.This platform is intended to be a link between buyers and sellers for sale or purchase of allowed goods and services.

Madhya Pradesh Police’s recent investigation has shown that Amazon is aware and actively involved in the operation of drug rackets on its marketplace platform.Amazon was able to store the narcotics and provide delivery channels so the drugs could be delivered safely and securely to their customers.

They also took a major portion of sales proceeds, which amounts roughly to 66 percent, as their commission/profit.
