New Delhi, Nov 15, : , Fencer CA Bhavani Devi made history in Tokyo when she became the first Indian fencer to compete at the Olympic Games.She was presented with the Arjuna award by Sports Minister Anurag Thakur on Monday. Bhavani could not attend the sports awards ceremony on Saturday as she was participating in a competition in France.Bhavani was in France competing in a sport competition and could not attend Saturday’s sports awards ceremony.
However, on her return to the country, the 28-year-old met Thakur who honoured her with the award.The 28-year old met Thakur upon her return from France, and was presented with the award.
