Farmer “seizes” Office property of Gujarat government entity due to the pending compensation for land

Gandhinagar 9 August : A farmer has taken possession of the movable assets, such as printers and computers of the Sardar Sarovar Narmada Nigam at its Gandhinagar office in Gujarat in an effort to pay his long-running dues as directed by the civil court.

Damodar Patel, a farmer is from the Abhol village of Vadodara district has donated his property to the state government to construct of the Narmada canal about 34 years ago.However, he he has yet received the complete amount of compensation the lawyer for his client said.The government of the state in 1990 owed 225 rupees per square yard in compensation to Patel.
