Cabinet approves ‘Farm Laws Repeal Bill 2021’

The Union Cabinet approved Wednesday The Farm Laws Repeal Bill 2021 which will repeal three of the contentious farm laws as announced by Prime Minister NarendraModi on November 19The bill will be introduced to repeal Farmers Produce Commerce (Promotion and Facilitation) Act 2020; the Farmers (Empowerment and Protect) Agreement of Price Assure, Farm Services Act 2020 and the Essential Commodities (Amendment) Act 2020.

Tuesdays Lok Sabha Bulletin had already included The Farm Laws Repeal Bill 2021.After more than a year of farmers agitation, PM Modis announcement came after the government announced the removal of three laws and the legal backing for the Minimum Support Price.
