DCP, IFSO, K.P.S.Malhotra stated that Cyber Crime Unit received complaints alleging that websites like theresumesearch.com and www.jobsearchnet.in are engaging in fraud on innocent people by promising them work from home jobs and giving them impossible tasks to complete.

He said that fraudsters used to extort money by threatening them with dragging them in to court for not completing their task.

During the inquiry, a search of National Cybercrime Reporting Portal was made to find similar complaints across India.

It was discovered that more than 60 complaints had been filed by different victims and contained similar allegations. The investigation was started and a case was opened.

Based on technical enquiry, four suspects were identified by the IFSO team as R.Kumar and M.Singh, T.Kumar, and a woman. They are all Delhi residents.
