Fake Apple crypto event broadcast via YouTube with Tim Cook on stage

San Francisco, Sep 8 : As Apple streamed its iPhone launch event on the internet, hundreds of thousands of viewers were riveted by fake Apple crypto livestream on YouTube with Tim Cook on the stage.

YouTube deleted the fake live stream due to breaking its conditions of service.The stream on YouTube had an odd title "Apple Event Live.

Tim Cook, CEO of Apple Tim Cook: Apple & Metaverse in 2022." The livestream played an old interview CNN conducted with Cook in 2018 according to The Verge.

The YouTube user has added Bitcoin and Ethereum logos to the video stream, enclosing the CNN Money logo with the words "Apple Crypto Event 2022".He also included bold text that reads "URGENT NEWS" at the at the bottom.

When people clicked on the channels website the URL led the users to an untrue cryptocurrency scam website.The fake stream tried to trick people who might have been aware Apple will be holding an important launch event.
