Ex-Sarpanch killed at a wedding function in MP

Bhopal : Dec 14, 2014: A group of men shot a former Sarpanch at a Madhya Pradesh wedding in Mandsaur.

On Monday, the incident occurred when men shouting "Jai Shri Ram" walked into the wedding venue.According to reports, the men objected at the wedding alleging it was illegally organized.

A group of criminals entered a wedding function to cause chaos.The organiser attempted to manage the chaos, but it was too late.Hearst arguments ensued.

One of the attackers pulled out a gun and shot at the organiser.Mandsaur police said that the victim was taken to a local hospital where he was later declared dead.

The deceased has been identified as Devilal Meena, a two-time former village sarpanch supported by the ruling BJP.Being an ardent follower of self-styled godman Rampal, he was the main organiser of the marriage."A murder case has been lodged against 11 identified accused and other unidentified accused.
