Election schedule for Telangana & Andhra Pradesh

The political game was on and the election notification for next Lok Sabha elections was released by election commission while ago.CEC V S Sampath, flanked by Election Commissioners H S Brahma and Dr Nasim Zaidi, made the announcement form Vigyan Bhavan They announced 9-phase schedule for the Lok Sabha elections and Assembly elections to the States- Andhra Pradesh, Odisha and Sikkim.

The Lok Sabha elections will start from April 7 and ends on May 12 and the polling dates would be April 7, 9, 10, 12, 17, 24 and 30 and May 7 and 12.In Telangana and Andhra pradesh states, Elections will be held in two phases.In Telangana, elections will be held on April 30th while in Andhra Pradesh, elections will be held on May 7th .Counting will take place on May 16 for Lok Sabha and Assembly polls in 3 States and the results will be announced on same day 814 million people are eligible to vote in this election, over 100 million more than 2009.There are 9,30,000 polling stations in the country.

From today onwards the election code will come into existence .
