New Delhi, Aug 29 : The Election Commission is scheduled to consider a petition regarding the denial of Basant Sorenthe JMM MLA from Dumka and the younger brother of Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren --, on Monday in the case of disqualificationThe Election Commission has already sent its recommendations to the Jharkhand Raj Bhavan on Hemant Sorens office of profit issue.
A decision is expected any time.
The panel had issued an announcement to Basant Soren in accordance with section 9A of the Representation of the People Act, which is concerned with the exclusion of legislators from receiving the award of a government contract.It is alleged that Basant Soren in his election statement concealed the fact about the fact that he was the director of an mining company.
