eBay purchases trading card software TCGplayer for $295 million

San Francisco, Aug 22 : The worlds largest e-commerce company eBay today announced that it has bought TCGplayer which is a marketplace for collectible game fans, for $295 million.

Trading cards are a coveted category that has seen a significant growth "This new chapter will allow us to operate independently within eBay while benefitting of their years of industry experience and resources to enhance the connections between hobbyists and their communities,"" stated Chedy Hampson TCGplayers CEO and Founder.of TCGplayer.
