Kanpur, Nov 28, : .Former India cricketer VVS laxman was told by Rahul Dravid about wicketkeeper KS Bharat’s skills a long back.He had stated that Bharat’s “wicket-keeping abilities were only second to Wriddhiman Saha” After Saha, the first-choice wicketkeeper, couldn’t make it to the field due to neck stiffness, Bharat, India’s second wicketkeeper-batter, had to assume wicket-keeping duties at the Green Park Stadium on day three.
Saturday’s performance by Bharat was outstanding.He took two catches and performed a stumping to help India limit New Zealand to 296 runs and take a 49-run lead.
“I can still recall Rahul Dravid raving over KS Bharat’s wicketkeeping skills.Star Sports was told by Laxman that he said that Bharat had good keeping skills, second only to Wriddhiman Sacha in Indian cricket.”

The wicketkeeper-batter has performed admirably in domestic cricket, scoring 4283 runs across 78 First-Class matches with a highest score of 308 and an average run of 37.24.This includes nine tons and 23 half-centuries.
