Islamabad 20 August : PTI chairperson Imran Khan on Saturday attributed the current state of affairs in Pakistan with the appointment of the Chief of Army Staff, terming it "unfortunate" that the entire thing in the country has been triggered because of one appointment, according to media reports.

Khan stated that the Army cannot unify a nation by itself, and added that "if the Army could unite the nation, Pakistan would not have been divided" in 1971.He added that "neutrals" are not able to pressure the PTI in accepting the incumbent "mafia government".

In rejecting talks with the government of coalition, Khan declared that he will not engage with corrupt people."To to sit and discuss with corrupt individuals is to be a part of their corruption," he added, Geo News reported.

He declared that the PTI is the only national party in the country at present He added that he will not make any action that isnt in the interest of the country.In a statement that transparent elections are the only option to stabilize this situation, the former prime minister stated that he will hand out the ballots for the upcoming elections himself "We removed the Punjab government back so that we could eliminate Hamza Shahbaz from the position of Chief Minister." stated Khan.

The PTI chairperson has claimed that a conspiracy has been developed to pit the PTI party and the Army against one another warning that there will be bloodshed in the country in the event of any conflict.
