Coimbatore : , Nov 21 : .TS Dijith and Tijil Raio each won a race in the LGB Formula 4 category in Round 2 in the 24th JK Tire FMSCI National Racing Championship, which concluded here at Kari Motor Speedway on Sunday. Although the Saturday was not a good day for Dark Don Racing, the boys bounced back to claim the top three places in the LGB Formula 4 races.This championship’s premier race brought out the best in the drivers and also gave rise to new winners.
Amir Sayed of Ahura Racing won his maiden victory on Saturday, but this time it was Diljith that clinched top spot in the first race.The ever-energetic, Thrissur star Diljith was not able to win the race as Vishnu Prasad, championship leader, was close behind.
Vishnu tried hard, but the Dark Don stars Tijil Ro, Sandeep Kumar and Arya Sing were pushing the pedal.Vishnu was under pressure and quickly switched to safety mode.
Diljith was left alone, and he concentrated on his defense.The plan failed to work towards the end, as Sandeep and Tijil made good use of the opportunity to place second and third, respectively.
Tijil Rao finished ahead of Sandeep Datta and Ashwin Datta in the second race.
Ruhaan Alva, MSport, completed another great double in the JK Tyre Novice “up.” The 15-year old is the best this season.Jaden Pariat, MSport from Guwahati seemed to improve with each race.
He was well-deservedly second in both of these races.
Anish Damodara Shri (Hubli), also finished first in the JK Tyre presented Royal Enfield Continental GT cup.However, a penalty of 30 seconds for passing under the yellow flag ended his chances at completing a grand-double.
Anfal Akdhar from Thrissur and AllwinXavier of Allwin Xavier were promoted to first and second, respectively.
Raj Kumar, Coimbatore, moved up one to third.
