The makers of Akshay Kumar, Sara Ali Khan and Dhanush starrer ‘Atrangi Re’ have finally announced the exact release date of the film.Last March, Aanand L Rai’s upcoming directorial went on floors in Varanasi.
Last year, in October, the star cast along with the entire team has resumed the shoot of the film in Madurai and followed it up in Delhi.Now, we have got our hands on an interesting development.
With theatres opening across the nation, ‘Atrangi Re’ is all set for a release this year.
This AR.Rahman musical will be hitting the screens on August 6th, 2021.Sharing the news of ‘Atrangi Re’ release date, Taran Adarsh wrote, “AKSHAY KUMAR – DHANUSH – SARA ALI KHAN: RELEASE DATE LOCKED… #AtrangiRe – starring #AkshayKumar, #Dhanush and #SaraAliKhan – to release in cinemas on 6 Aug 2021… Directed by #AanandLRai… Bhushan Kumar #TSeries presentation.” The film, which reunites Dhanush and Rai after their 2013 critical hit ‘Raanjhanaa’, will feature Akshay Kumar in a special role.
‘Atrangi Re‘ will be Kumar’s third release of 2021.The 53-year-old actor will also be seen in the espionage thriller ‘Bell Bottom’, scheduled to release on May 28th, and Yash Raj Films’ ‘Prithviraj‘, which will hit the theatres this Diwali.‘Atrangi Re‘ is written by Rai’s longtime collaborator, Himanshu Sharma, with lyrics penned by Irshad Kamil.The project is a joint production of Colour Yellow Productions, T-Series and Kumar’s Cape Of Good Films.
